Personal and short term care is provided within 41 single and 6 double self-contained flats on the ground and first floor. Each flat comprises of a personal lounge, fitted kitchen, private W.C, hand basin, shower and bed area with built in cupboard. Opportunity is given to residents to personalise the flat with their own furniture. The home is wheelchair accessible and there is a passenger lift to the first floor.
Communal facilities include two comfortable and spacious lounges, a dining room, assisted bathrooms, a payphone, a laundry service and attractive maintained gardens in a private enclosure. Ruckland Court is also connected to an adjoining Day Care Centre, which provides a hairdresser, activities, library, shop and chiropodist.
Care is provided by qualified staff to ensure that all medical needs are met in accordance with an individual care plan. Additional support from staff can be obtained by operating the internal call system. All meals are provided and special dietary requirements are catered for.
