Social Outreach Centres provide support for housebound older people.
Eccleshare Court Social Outreach Centre, Ashby Avenue, Hartsholme, Lincoln
Situated in the South of Lincoln, the Social Outreach Centre was built in 1984 and refurbished during 2007 in order to meet the needs of housebound Older People in the City of Lincoln. The Social Outreach Centre now provides an opportunity for support for Older People from within the South of the City and surrounding villages.
A programme of weekly activities include 'Movement to Music', Art Class, Games, Bingo and Wii Club. Facilities include a Shop, Library, Hair Salon, Coffee Shop, Chiropodist, bathing and a Restaurant providing a three-course meal.
Adapted vehicles with a passenger lift provide a door-to-door transport service for older people with disabilities.
A team of qualified staff and volunteers provide basic care and support.
